Coronavirus Service Cuts - March 30, 2020 Update

NJ Transit has implemented a reduced schedule on most of its bus routes.  Some of its routes aren't operating at all, while many are running on a Saturday schedule.  More information is available here.  NJT is also requiring passengers to enter through the rear door for its urban bus routes and is not allowing passengers to sit in the first three rows to protect its drivers.

Some other updates:

Rockland Coaches is operating on a Sunday schedule, Monday through Friday only, with some additional 11X service.  They aren't operating any weekend service.  Details here.

ShortLine is operating every two hours on a combined Orange and Bergen County service.  Schedule available here.  Other ShortLine routes have been greatly reduced, details here.

New MCI Buses Rolling in New Jersey

Here is a brand new bus on DeCamp's Route 66 line heading to the Port Authority Bus Terminal at the Lincoln Tunnel Exclusive Bus Lane.  NJT has ordered in excess of 1200 of the new cruisers to replace its aging fleet and recently began delivering the new MCI buses to many of the private NJ bus companies.  Suburban, Community Coach, and Saddle River Tours are some of the other private companies who have begun operating the new cruisers.  More on the story can be read here.

Super Expensive Bus Service to the Super Bowl

The Star Ledger is reporting that NJ is offering a Fan Express bus service to the Super Bowl from locations throughout Northern New Jersey and New York for $51.

Rockland Coaches/Red and Tan Route 25 (1981)

Here is an old rockland coaches/red and tan lines route 25 schedule from 1981.  This route was merged with the 11C line in the early 1990s.  The 11C, now operated by Saddle River Tours, still covers most of the old 25 route today.
